I'm slightly irritated by the fact that Adele still hasn't announced the name of her baby boy. She wants privacy, I get that, but even us normal non-celeb folk announce our babies' names in the newspaper. AIBU?
Um, yes, YABU
. But it is a bit strange that they haven't registered it yet (they've been fined for not doing it in time). Presumably they can't avoid doing it forever...
Ooh, forgot to say I was wondering about the registration. I suppose they can afford the fine
. How odd - maybe they're in a state of extreme indecision and it's nothing to do with the privacy thing.
Whaaaat, why would you get a fine for that? Surely you can talk to the registrar if you are having so much difficulty deciding. [wierd emoticon]
Some clebs don't. I don't think Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer have said what they called their twins. YANBU, as this second fact annoys me immensely
I sooooooo want to know! Can't wait to see what Fearne Cotton goes for too, something uber hipster I'm assuming!
I can't wait to hear what adele, Fearne and Lily Allen call their babies...I'm sad!
Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen managed to keep the name of their 2nd daughter secret for well over a year. They called her Mystery when asked.
I too would like to know what Adele called hers, and has she managed to get out without being papped? I hope she has otherwise it's been nearly 3 months!
So I'm the only who was beating down the door of the registry office so I didn't miss out on CB?
I'm beyond caring now....I bet it's nothing outrageous anyway.
If I ran the country, I would have a law where if you didn't register your baby within six weeks, I got to choose the name.

Adele and fearn could be mnr's !!
I love fearn, she's just too cool.
I didn't even know adele or fearne cotton were even pregnant
And didn't lily Allen have hers ages ago??
<crawls back into hole I've obviously been hiding in>
Are you really sure they have been fined?
I don't think it actually happens. They backdate the child benefit but only for a certain amount of time, that is the worst that can happen.
This is where I work but may be different elsewhere in UK.
Anyway why would you care? Think it is their business and whose life changes just by knowing such stuff?
Pretty sure Adele will be over the £60,000 income limit for child benefit..
I didn't announce any of my babies in the paper. Not that I'm famous or anything, just in response to the op...
She has been fined, it was all over the newspapers. They paid the fine very quickly, and those forms were printed too. They seem to think there is a lot of interest in it!
My parents were also fined when my youngest sister was born.
Nothing to do with child benefit, it's an actual fine.
MumVsKids, Lilly is expecting her 2nd baby, I think. As is Peaches Geldof.
I am curious too. In fact so curious I started a thread about it ages ago.
I hadn't read that Adele was fined for not registering the birth though <crawls back under stone>
Adele's all over the papers today flying to the USA with the baby... If he's got a passport and able to fly surely he has been registered? Maybe they've used a false surname or done something else to stop people searching public records? Maybe I've missed something, I'm all for privacy but sometimes being so extreme about things just draws more attention.
I noticed her in the papers today too, if he has a passport he must also have a name
Lily Allen's baby is called Marnie Rose
Peaches Geldof is apparently having a baby boy who will be called Phaedra, although since he's not born yet, that could change
I totally understand wanting to keep baby's name secret. It can't be nice being hounded by press the minute they're born, demanding a name! Baby is sort of thought of as public property (by the press at least), anyone can comment on them or anything to do with them, hound the parents for information etc
Maybe adele's doing a gwynnie and chris and doesn't want to be papped with her lo.
I thought Phaedra was a girls name?
I thought Adele was doing well not to be papped at all in recent months, I was concerned the poor girl's not been out!
The talk of not registering him is obviously bollocks, they must have a certificate to get a passport. It was something I was pondering on driving to work this morning.
I like Adele, but am nosey and want to know the name...
I like the name Marnie, even though it was the head girl's name at my school, so terribly posh IMO. But is also my old English teacher's name and she wasn't that posh.
How is Phaedra pronounced
Is it Faydra?
