looking for something unusual and elegant for DD3
No Cornish heritage here, but I love the look and sound of Endellion.
What says the Mumsnet jury? (ps obv I know, but don't care about, about the Cameron usage...)

I'm really sory at first my sleepy dyslexic brain read that as Dandelion.
Now if it's Cornish villages your after Praze-An-Beeble is a good name.

Made me think Endymion then Dandelion.
How about:
Estella
Della
Fenella
Esme

Thanks all for the many and varied responses!
(Thanks also for the various Cornish suggestions- I'm not looking for a Cornish name as such, I just happen to like the word Endellion. But thank you for considering other options.)

I like it, but then I am probably biased, as my DD has a Cornish name as well!

i know you are not looking for a cornish name but how about lamorna, far more elegant than endellion and it is the name of the most beautiful coastal hamlet in all of cornwall, just farther on than mousehole and set in such a pretty woodland valley. You would be able to take your dd to such an enchanted place on holiday to her namesake, and i don't work for the cornish tourist board!!!!!

Clearly in the minority here but I think it is utterly gorgeous and thought about it for my dd but we had too many others to fit in. Do it!!
How can you not care that David and Sam Cam used it? Awful <<shudder>>

I met a Veryan recently - named after a Cornish village I believe. Rather pretty.

Love and adore it, perhaps because it sounds like it should be a LotR name. It wouldn't work with our surname - probably luckily for any furture offspring!

Sorry, I also can't read it without saying "Dandelion" in my head.
I wouldn't chose it personally.

Pretty as a middle name I think, maybe not quite so nice as a first, still like it though
It's beyond awful and crossed over to 'Brooklyn' territory
ie. people will think that's where you conceived him, shagging in a village in Cornwall.
