To wish that they would bring Ringos and Tubes crisps back?

I can still remember Ringos - satisfying crunchy salty rings of cheese and onion and salt and vinegar...and I mean when crisps actually used to have flavour, not the artificial crap you get nowadays. Tubes were extremely moorish - a bit like Hula Hoops but longer.

Mmmmm...

AIBU to want to become a millionaire just so that I can buy a crisp factory and bring back Ringos and Tubes? As well as buying myself an island with a castle to eat them in of course.

gordyslovesheep · 11/08/2014 23:05

oh I LOVED Ringos - proper ones C1978 not the new fangled ones ( (1996 )

ShergarAndSpies · 11/08/2014 23:07

God the tube crisps were amazing - I would kill for some now!

Lala5 · 11/08/2014 23:07

Back? Where?! I haven't seen them! Are they actually the same though, or are they imposters like the 'old style' Monster Munch?

I miss those odd 'fish & chips' things. They had a texture like a mini cheddar, but were amazingly salty. I really loved those. Old marmite crisps were better than the current incarnation, too.

snoggle · 11/08/2014 23:10

Chipsticks. Worcester sauce flavour.

Ihateparties · 11/08/2014 23:11

Fish and chips things.... I had some last week. From waitrose.

Morrisons do them as well... So does the corner shop near school..... Mmm.

DifferentNow · 11/08/2014 23:12

SecretRed · 11/08/2014 23:14

Only s&v fish n chips are back though. I'm sure there were nicer ones back in the day!

BellMcEnd · 11/08/2014 23:14

Andallmyhopeisgone · 11/08/2014 23:18

Poundland sometimes have Ringos and Bikers, not sure if they're the same as they used to be.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 11/08/2014 23:30

I want some of the teeny tiny bags if crisps that you used to get off the pop man. The onion rings always went first!

Mrsjayy · 11/08/2014 23:32

Those were my craving with dd1 the 5p bags of crisps I was pregnant 22 yrs ago cant see them being 5p now,

NerfHerder · 11/08/2014 23:43

Meh- the new fish'n'chips aren't as good as the old ones- they're S&V flavour now, no 'fish' involved Hmm

Are the tube crisps like wheat crunchies? Because they still sell those...

CosmicDespot · 11/08/2014 23:43

I used to eat Bensons prawn cocktail crisps by the cartload when I was a kid. They were very strong, not too sweet, and I used to lick the flavour off of them. Ready salted chipsticks have vanished, too.

bloody walkers
