Constant oooerrr ing really gets on my wick.
Every comment no matter how innocuous being picked up on...I want to scream
Its surely time to grow out of this mid 40s..
Is it worth me getting this stressed

Scrubber Mon 17-Jun-13 13:43:03

No it isn't worth getting stressed.

holstenlips Mon 17-Jun-13 13:47:46

Why is it bugging me so much ?? I cant see the funny side at all it just grates...watching tv ...oh look thats a big one..even talking to my kids...its turned into a joke...

Just throw in "As the actress said to the bishop" randomly in response to things he says and see if you can confuse him out of it. I assume it is a man, it usually is grin

plainjaney Mon 17-Jun-13 13:52:03

Its not big is it?
grin

MyNameIsRio Mon 17-Jun-13 13:55:00

holstenlips Mon 17-Jun-13 13:58:35

holstenlips Mon 17-Jun-13 14:17:09

I have sense of humour failure

Trapper Mon 17-Jun-13 14:24:10

If he likes double entendres so much, you should give him one.

holstenlips Mon 17-Jun-13 14:26:10

Haha

BabeRuthless Mon 17-Jun-13 14:39:03

That's what she said...

LuisSuarezTeeth Mon 17-Jun-13 14:42:25

When DP makes coffee and asks "big one or small one" I say small one. He says "I thought you liked big ones?"

Every. Single. Time.

<raaaah>

Reminds me of the scene in Scrubs

Female doctor: I'm getting a little tired of your sexual innuendo.
The Todd: ...In your endo.

badbride Mon 17-Jun-13 14:49:13

..which reminds me of the folllwing joke:

Q: What's an innuendo?
A: An Italian suppository

I'll get me coat

holstenlips Mon 17-Jun-13 15:10:31

Im going to double entendre bomb tonight and see how he takes it (phnarr)
Being serious i want to cry when its constant

complexnumber Mon 17-Jun-13 16:19:25

It brings tears to your eyes?

He is obviously over doing it.

FoundAChopinLizt Mon 17-Jun-13 16:22:22

Call him Finbar Saunders after the Viz character who was always making them.

Nudge nudge, wink wink, say no more....

minouminou Mon 17-Jun-13 16:41:29

You're making double entendres now, OP.
It's obviously rubbing off on you.

Kyak kyak......

ComtessedeFrouFrou Mon 17-Jun-13 16:53:28

I have a colleague who does this. I do have a sense of humour and I enjoy a smutty joke as much as the next person, but it really does get very tiresome after a while. Maybe MN has made me more alive to PC issue, but she's also hopelessly unPC. I spend a lot of time thinking "how inappropriate" to myself.

holstenlips Mon 17-Jun-13 16:55:59

Haha I will "get it off" phwoarr.. my chest oooeeerr tonight and" pull him " ooh matron.. up on it....

holstenlips Mon 17-Jun-13 16:56:57

Thank you yes it is so tiresome it bores the pants off me...oh here we go again

minouminou Mon 17-Jun-13 16:57:28

Give him a good dressing down, OP.
Let him really have it, eh?

holstenlips Mon 17-Jun-13 16:58:31

See...everything can be smutted up...doesnt mean it should be does it.

usualsuspect Mon 17-Jun-13 17:00:35

Have it out with him.

minouminou Mon 17-Jun-13 17:02:53

I think you should force him, a la Malcolm McDowell in Clockwork Orange, to watch endless repeats of Carry On films, until the merest hint of smut gives him a nervous twitch.

Sid James' laugh on an endless loop?
