Even the ones you hate?
It is so vile and, I believe, the ultimate women-hating word.
I've done a quick search and its been used on here nearly 400 times this week.
Pretty please

Yanbu to ask
I call men bitches too, equality an all that.....
It's not a word that offends me so I'll continue to use it when I fancy.

I think the c word is the ultimate woman hating word. (I always think that if I type it, my mother will leap out from behind something and tan my backside
)
But yes, I am trying to retrain myself in my use of insults. It's not something you tend to think about, but when you look into the history of the words, and think about what it is you are saying and why - you do realise that most of them are very anti-woman.
I'm trying to stick with arsewipe and shit for brains.
What we need is a big long list of good ones to use instead.
Hec!
We spoke about this! Seriously, we need to confer before posting!

I am not bothered about the word bitch.
I find people saying women are cunts really horrid. In fact I find it hard to even type the word without shuddering cos' I am such pathetic drip. But others don't find it offensive and in fact like it. So I just avoid the cunt threads.

The word bitch doesn't offend me where as Cunt really is vile.
I like cockmonkey as a go to insult.
Arsewipe is good to.
Agreed - although my personal most hated word is "slut". It sounds so hateful, it makes me shudder.

I'm sorry, paggy.
It won't happen again.

I like bitch and it's gender neutral to me

I rarely see, for eg, "she was a cunt" used as a descriptor on here, it usually used in an affectionate way, in't it Pag?
But "she was a bitch" is casually used all the time.
Women-hating.
Bell end is the one word I dislike for some reason.
Whore is another.

I don't find bitch offensive either. I agree that words like 'slut' or 'slapper' are offensive and I would never use them.

Sorry YABU
As I said on the other thread, I only use it when it is totally deserved.
Just I reserve bastard for DSIS's best friends two timing, lying ex.
A very very small number of people are cunts and require accurate descriptions.
Cunt and wanker are unusable out loud in my social circle, so bitch and bastard have to suffice.
(Yes, bastard is actually unisex, but it has a good masculine ring to it.)
How can bitch be gender neutral?! It's distinguishes a female dog from a male dog - hardly gender neutral!
I agree - horrid word, as is calling people cunts.

Bitch is so so horrible I think. We used to use it all the time at school and I now loathe it. It's perhaps quite a personal thing though by the sounds of the other responses. I almost never use it but did slip up recently when describing the doc that performed an episiotomy on me/hacked me apart 15 weeks ago!
<<nods>> yes. Always affectionate. My best friends are cunts
I guess i just refuse to accept that women's genetalia must be the worst thing you can call someone. So I am uncomfortable with the weird special status it seems to have.
I get more irritated by insults based around any woman who dares to be over 50 - old cow, old hag etc etc. used on here a lot
I like "cunty"
As in "that was really cunty"
But I would rarely call anyone cunt except in jest
Bitch is a great word
Slut and slapper etc are awful

While we're on the subject.
Is it offensive when i call you lot a bunch of bastards? Which I do on a regular basis.
eg, that bunch of bastards have had me googling so many revolting things that when I upgrade my pc I will have to bash this one into tiny pieces and eat them.

soooo... what do we call bitchy people who are bitches if not bitch? there are worse words out there.
gwennie
It's not gender neutral when describing an animal but it is for people
IME it is used to men as much as women. I call male friends bitches or tell them "don't be such a bitch" etc, so in those terms of use it's neutral

And Cunt isn't the ultimate woman hating word!?
Yes what is an alternative for bitchy; gossipy, snippy, judgy?
None of them have the right ring
