And people at the cashpoint who take half an hour. What are they doing? And how can it take so long?
Always a q thread at this time if year.
Think yourslef lucky that you've actually still got a q.
I haven't had a q for ages, in fact have been in comparative peace, with no despondent q thoughts for ages, but someone always vomes along and reminds me of the good times.

You don't appreciate what you've got till it's gone.
Try to be less insensitive in future.

YABU.
Do tell how I am supposed to manage to use 2 crutches and sort out my purse/money/card all at the same time!
FFS it takes all of about 30 seconds! Are you really in that much of a rush?

mrselle - not talking about disabled/elderly or people with young kids - thats awful - am talking about people like me - able bodied who just dont think about other people...
YABU.
Some people do not feel safe getting items out of their bags until the last minute. Or they have a lot of DCs with them and need their hands free. Or any other reason.
I feel sorry for people who can't spare a few minutes just to make other people's lives a bit easier.
Good point MsElle - and I thought handbag plus bolting toddler was bad enough!

Tonight I had to nip in to tesco for tampax bits, goes to free chechout but it isn't free, we are waiting for woman. Who comes barging past me with loads of wine in arms muttering apologies. Fair enough.
Then some big debate ensued about her club card points.. she says ' very sorry ' and rushes past me off to drinks aisle.
Comes back with a large bottle of Bells.
I even surprised myself tonight because when she turned to say ' awfully sorry ' I smiled and said ' it's absolutely fine ' and I've got pmt!
It must be the moon.

But why shouldn't people get their purse out to pay once they have packed their shopping? And who the hell decided when someone can and can't get their mini statement? Maybe they are checking that they have enough money in their account so their card won't be declined, thus holding up impatient people like you!

Able bodied people like my son. Who looks fine but is all the time filtering out the noise, the lights and various other bits of input so that he can triple check he has what he needs and hear what the cashier is saying to him? How would you know if there was anything wrong with the 17 year old lad infront of you? He's wearing a hoody and jeans, has a schoolbag, long hair, looks like any other teenager.
Slow down before you burn yourself out.
Totally agree Dude.
OP, just because you feel you have a busy life, it doesn't mean other people can't have different checkout routines. It's not up to you how things run.

of course not but why not have your purse-loyality card to hand and not buried? it may be a lovely day out for you but the rest of us have other things to do - i always have my purse in my pocket & loyality card to hand - not left in my sodding car :-(

I always pack my shopping before paying. It soesn't take any longer, and it means there is space for the next person's shopping and it doesn't all get mixed up.

Woah OP.
No I would never have my purse in a pocket. Because I'm usually wearing something impractical without pockets for a kick off.. and how much longer can it really take to reach in a bag and get your purse? 5 seconds at most.
Chill Bill.
