In practically every episode of Something for the Weekend Louise Redknapp double dips her straw in the cocktail drinks. Then poor Tim has to taste the drink after her. It is soooo annoying. Grrrr! and Urghh!

I'd just post AIBU To be annoyed by louise redknapp

then I'd say yes yanbu

no talent, famous dh and FIL, plenty money and did I say no talent?

YANBU. I am annoyed by Louise Redknapp full stop. angry

AnEcumenicalMatter Sun 12-Feb-12 12:35:16

Yep, everything about Louise Redknapp is annoying. She just comes across as dim and is crap at interviewing people. Her sidekick is no better. I quite like the format of SFTW but the presenters are shite.

Yes, YABU. It's weird to be annoyed by such things. I always double dip tortilla chips in salsa, and I don't even care.

laluna Sun 12-Feb-12 12:37:24

I remember a programme she did about starving and exercising herself
to become a size zero. Very worthwhile.

AKissIsNotAContract Sun 12-Feb-12 12:39:53

Was I the only one thinking you meant the rude type of double dipping?

Winkly Sun 12-Feb-12 12:43:10

I thought this was going to be some sleb scandal. Disappointed.
YANBU to be annoyed by Louise Redknapp full stop. She's utterly devoid of charisma.

runningwilde Sun 12-Feb-12 12:45:25

Can't stand her, no personality and ever since I read an article where she dismissed everything about breastfeeding and how she didn't even try it I have dismissed her even more. Don't think much to her dh either - a friend of mine who socialised with them years ago told he would speak to her quite dismissively and act like 'the big man to little woman' hmm charming

SFTW is being scrapped I think. It's a shame because with a couple of decent presenters it would be great.

Hedgeblog Sun 12-Feb-12 13:13:25

What on earth is something for the weekend? I have never heard of it let alone watched it.

You haven't missed much TBH Hedge. Sundays 10am on BBC2 though.

HexagonalQueenOfTheSummer Sun 12-Feb-12 14:31:16

I don't watch it but I think she's awful. Even when she was a "singer" she was boring and non-descript with her mousy hair and quiet voice. Totally talent-less

And she don't speak properly, had lessons from Alesha Dixon I think. grin

MissBerta Sun 12-Feb-12 14:38:18

She says 'Haich'

Don't presenters have lessons in that sort of thing. And the BBC too, it's just not good enough.

whathellcall Sun 12-Feb-12 14:52:10

She's terrible! She comes across as being thick as champ and has no charisma whatsoever, how on earth she was ever given tv work is beyond me and I don't believe for one minute that she ever had any musical talent either.

LittlePandaBear Sun 12-Feb-12 15:16:04

I think you're all being a bit mean, I think she comes across alright! Maybe not talented but friendly and normal enough.

Maybe some of you are jealous of her handsome husband...

OOh no Panda he wears horrid tight trousers and models M&S suits. sad

southeastastra Sun 12-Feb-12 15:25:03

he always looks a bit dead behind the eyes in the marks and sparks ads.

this morning louise did make me laugh when she said she didn't like to cook anythng in her kitchen which would make it smell grin

MrJelly Sun 12-Feb-12 15:26:28

how do you double dip your straw?? Am very confused confused

rhondajean Sun 12-Feb-12 15:28:29

Shiny m and s suits.

I am so happy others feel the same way about Louise red knapp as I do. I've stopped watching sftw even Simon rimmer wasn't enough to have to look at her.

But re the straw I obviously haven't seen it but the part of the straw which goes into the drink isn't in contact with her mouth is it? What does lovely do, a fresh straw per drink?

MissBerta Sun 12-Feb-12 15:29:41

My husband might be more gawjusser, (Louise Redknapp word), Panda.

I think you may mean envious, not jealous, though. (I'm not, he's fick.)

LittlePandaBear Sun 12-Feb-12 15:29:47

Well, you could always remove the shiny suits... grin

rhondajean Sun 12-Feb-12 15:30:30

Nah panda my husbands better looking and isn't starting to resemble Harry as the years pass!

PeptoAbysmal Sun 12-Feb-12 15:32:06

I've noticed this too. She's a complete airhead IMO
