By sending her a bunch of flowers to her work? She had no clue and just rang me sobbing thank you and I'm not sure what else she said Grin

I have a warm fuzzy feeling, not because she cried but because I cheered her up hehe

Aww a moment to treasure Xmas Smile

Scholes34 · 23/12/2011 13:20

To "have" made your mum cry. Nice gesture though.

TheLaineyWayIsEssex · 23/12/2011 13:27

Ffs scholes, was it really necessary to correct the OP?

Kayano · 23/12/2011 13:29

I think it's right to correct 'to of' at all times.

SqueezeMeBakingPowder · 23/12/2011 13:29

That's so lovely.
Xmas Smile

OldGreyWassailTest · 23/12/2011 13:30

Trouble is Kayano nobody seems to learn and they still do it. But..........you beat me to it.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 23/12/2011 13:34

She must have been so thrilled, MaryPoppins. Xmas Smile

Scholes/kayano, necessary to correct somebody, was it? Really? How sad. Hmm

BlissfulMistletoe · 23/12/2011 13:34

awwww thats lovely

FoxyRevenger · 23/12/2011 13:35

OP that's lovely.

Way to go on making her feel stupid though, guys. Merry Christmas. Hmm

FantasticVoyage · 23/12/2011 13:47

Leave off Scholes. She's doing the lady a favour!

People pay good money to learn this stuff.

Oh, and that was a nice gesture OP.

FoxyRevenger · 23/12/2011 13:52

Well I think it's rude. Maybe with good intentions.

bemybebe · 23/12/2011 13:57

great gesture OP!! Grin

"to of" hopefully needs correcting only once
it is not a simple typo

NoobyNoob · 23/12/2011 13:59

How lovely OP, well done you.

Agree with Foxy

Kayano · 23/12/2011 13:59

I didn't actually do the correcting. Hmm

Trills · 23/12/2011 14:01

You're not actually asking if you are being unreasonable here, are you?

It is a very lovely thing to have done. :)

Well done on getting it delivered today as well!

ShengdanRoad · 23/12/2011 14:34

Did you send the flowers because you wanted to make your mum happy, or because you wanted to boast about it?

Kayano · 23/12/2011 14:36
Shock
smartyparts · 23/12/2011 14:41

Lovely!

To have. To have. TO HAVE. Xmas Grin

FoxyRevenger · 23/12/2011 14:49

Wow, MN is a bit mental today! Xmas Grin

MaryPoppinsMagic · 23/12/2011 14:50

Oh for goodness sake! Does it really matter that I wrote the wrong words?

I stand corrected and instead of enjoying christmas making my family happy I shall study up on the use of English language..

Oh, and Mary - no boasting about it!!! Wink

Kayano · 23/12/2011 14:56

I think the boasting comment is much much worse than a grammar correction!

smartyparts · 23/12/2011 14:58

Yes, OP. Cancel Christmas and brush up on your grammar!

roundcornsilkvirgin · 23/12/2011 14:58

that's lovely OP Smile
can't see anyone boasting though
