Not sure there are more of these, as it may just be three articles. But vipers might like to read them.

How the young Keir Starmer made his name as a ‘radical’ barrister.

How Keir Starmer left Blair’s policy on terror in disarray.

Not sure of the date on this but the notion of looking to influence abroad marries up with one of the articles (no2 IIRC)

Thanks, OP. As a barrister myself, it’s obvious to me that Starmer’s intellect, work ethic and energy could have made him very wealthy at the commercial Bar. I am talking multi-millions in annual fees. But instead he chose public service. That attitude is what our country desperately needs now, after 14 years of a government rife with greed, dishonesty and corruption.

This is so disappointing.
I should have been so happy to vote for him.
Instead the thought fills me with dread. Even after 14 crappy Tory years where we left the EU, the prospect of this man being PM fills me with dread.
I should have been dancing in the streets.

Allison Bailey isn't keen on Starmer, though I don't entirely understand what's going on in this story:

With respect to Allison Bailey, her tweet suggests that she seriously over-estimated her importance in Chambers as a pupil. Why would KS want to “stare her down”? In all likelihood, he was trying to remember her name!

I found much of the "change the establishment from the inside" concerning. It's not for the CPS to decide a policy on helping people kill themselves, for example. The fact he didn't prosecute sex selective abortions was news to me, and is another issue that isn't for the CPS but for Parliament.

The stayed CPS consultation on sex by deception should be on our radar. Is the view that the CPS can bypass Parliament still one they hold?
