The former head of LGBT Youth Scotland left to work for an NDPB in Scotland as their head of equality and no prizes for guessing which protected characteristic suddenly took precedence over any other protected characteristic?
That NDPB suddently appeared (very high) on Stonewall's employer list, they had a very active LGBT (plus allies) network, a women's network (but not just for women) but when this new head of equality and HR team were asked if other networks could be set up, there was 'no interest' in doing so (apparently).
Rainbow lanyards, laces, posters, staff training (from Scottish transgender alliance), pronouns, trans flag etc appeard everywhere. Internal awareness blogs featuring pansexual and trans colleagues.
There was an "Equality" event with a keynote speaker who is a transwoman - same event had multiple 'gender' or 'lgbt' workshops and NONE on other PCs.
Lots of BAME, biological female and disabled staff submitting grievances.
I very much question the circumstances in which their new head of Equality left LGBT Youth Scotland. Jump before pushed?
