Goes to show how far people will go to deflect accusations of transphobia:

"After being dropped by her agency for transphobic comments, model Carissa Pinkston — who has appeared in Savage x FENTY ads — pretended she was a trans woman herself so as to avoid being called out for her transphobia.

The model wrote in multiple since-deleted Facebook posts from May, under the name Rissa Danielle, that trans women were not women. Social media users who were able to find the receipts and have been witness to Pinkston's transphobia have also said that on Instagram Live videos, she went as far as likening trans women to pedophiles. And on Monday, after being called out and getting fired, she took to Instagram Live, crying and seen to be saying something, but without audio as the video was muted. After the Live, she also posted a “coming out" note, trying to repair the damage by claiming that she was trans herself."

I don't see how any TRA can say that anyone claiming trans status is lying. Either self-ID is sacrosanct or it isn't. Either trans people should always, always be believed, or they shouldn't. Either sex is a "spectrum" or it isn't.

I think it's all utter bollocks, but to a true believer in gender identity, if this person wishes to state that they are trans, surely that's enough for them to be accepted as trans? And since trans encompassed non-binary (which I also think is bollocks, since we are all nonbinary) then not ever having had meat and two veg is surely irrelevant to someone claiming transwoman status?

If nothing else, it shows the whole caboodle up for the misogynistic shitshow that it is.

As we've been told countless times, no one would ever claim to be trans simply for their own benefit. The process of transition is so incredibly arduous that the idea of someone claiming a transition flies in the face of common sense and reality.

Therefore, although people believe they've seen a claim of ID-ing as trans for personal benefit, it just cannot have happened.

To try and escape accusations of transphobia from rabid TRAs. This girl made perfectly valid and reasonable statements on Twitter that transwomen are not women. She was rounded on, predictably - death threats, etc. She was sacked from her job. So she pretended she had been born male and transitioned young.

Such a shitshow.

Lots of TRAs claim that they were "born female", just "violently mis-assigned male at birth". I don't see how this is any different.

The alternative is for all these woke folks is to throw a young black woman under the bus for Having Opinions While Female, and they are far too woke for that, surely?

Was she even claiming to be amab? According to the tenants of self-id, she can be biologically female, present in a stereotypically female way, and whatever identify she declares is valid. She could be a feminine, female, who identifies as male. She could be non-binary. She could be gender fluid. She could even be a feminine presenting female who identifies as a woman, but not in the boring way.

From what I read she said she transitioned very early and certainly implied that she was a transwoman now.

Rookie error - she should have known that only true trans people (as ordained by the transisterhood) get to conceal genuine biological facts about their birth.

A medical professional when they give the person a diagnosis of dysphoria or the person is receiving treatment for dysphoria.

She's trans.
She transitioned.
It doesn't matter how her body looks or that it has never been altered, she's trans.

Why doesn't that apply here?

One of the comments shown in that link says they know she isn't trans because they have seen her naked and seen baby pics. That sounds like they're reducing her to her genitals. Gender is merely assigned at birth, often incorrectly, and genitals are not indicative of anything. She says she is trans, she must be trans.

On another note, I feel quite worried for her. This abuse she must have received for her initial comments to lead her to claim to be a transwoman must have been pretty horrific. And now that it's been exposed as a lie (despite that contradicting the whole idea of self identification), she is going to be bullied mercilessly I imagine. I really hope she is ok. It's a very toxic environment.

They made the rules now they need to folliw them. Therefore if she says shes trans then she is trans and they must accept it.

There is also another woman (as is dinosaurs would call her) claiming to be a man who identifies as a woman. Which is clearly a big steaming pile of bullshit but I'm not sure if we're allowed to say that. Will I get deleted?

OP you need to get the transphobic title of this thread changed - nobody ever pretends to be trans. It just never happens. If someone ids as trans then trans they are.

Did she actually say transwomen were paedophiles? Or express concern that male paedophiles would say they were trans (and if they say it they are) in order to get access to young girls? If the former then yeah maybe transphobic. The latter I'd agree is a concern. It's how safeguarding works, you do have to stop completely innocent people from doing things in order to reduce opportunities for dodgy people to be dodgy.
