I recall the Congo has been discussed on here before and people were wanting to do something, I think.

Hi mumsnet! Thanks to AliceWorld for putting the link up. Please share, tweet, blog, email and talk about the campaign to everyone you know. The UK is set to spend £190million per year in Congo over the next few years... one of the few budgets that's actually set! But, there's no guarantee that they'll invest in rape centres, hospitals or specialists even though there's only one rape centre in the crisis area. Instead it might go on building roads between mines and airports and other such trade-focused things.
Lynne Featherstone can stand up for women in Congo, and will if she thinks it's what people want. Please help us get many emails to her.
