Confused about heating food

Yesterday I cooked some chicken in the oven and puréed it with some boiled veg. If I want to give it to my 7.5 mth old baby do I heat it thoroughly first?
Is this ok?

yes, reheat to piping hot and then let it cool to eating temperature
