I'm thinking heated swimming pool, soft play areas, toys, animals etc. Looking for summer hol destinations (near a beach could be good too) for a 2 yr old & 3 month old.

Thanks!

Bosinver farm

Bosinver looks fab ta. That & Glynn Barton are my favourites I've found so far. Would be idyllic to find somewhere that can prepare food too so that I can have a rest from cooking & cleaning but then wouldn't necessarily have the facilities of self catering...hmmmm

We have stayed at Wringworthy holiday cottages here near Looe which is v toddler and child friendly. it is a lot less expensive than glynn barton or bosinver and probably not as booked up. they have a swimming pool, animals and are a few mins from the beach. would say that if you go for a hotel it isnt so easy with little ones. s/catering when ours were this age i used to get top end ready meals from waitrose delivered and in the fridge so that i could combine the need not to cook/slump at the end of the day with something different to eat.

Bosinver is fab. And they have an arrangement with a local supplier of home-cooked frozen meals, which you can have delivered to the freezer in your cottage so that you can just stick them in the oven.

I like the look of Wringworthy, mind you. And the sound of "a lot less expensive"...

Wringworthy looks great & is so much cheaper off peak season! I def like the idea of the ready meals too. I'm usually too obsessed with ensuring everyone is eating well to have ready meals but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt for a week, especially if it means I get a rest too!

Would highly recommend Clydey Cottages in Wales (Pembrokeshire). Our kids are 2.10 and 6 months and this place was just perfect for them. It is pricey in a you get what you pay for kind of way.

I have also been to Bosinver in Cornwall (which I think is on a par pricewise with Clydey). Bosinver is nice, but in our view Clydey is MUCH better set up for younger kids (esp. the animal feeding experience) and the facilities are nicer (indoor pool/hot tub - although I think they were building an indoor pool at Bosinver, the play barn is way better equipped and has magazines/coffee for parents, gym is separate and more stuff in it, the games room has more things in it - pool, airhockey etc. and the equipment is better kept)

I personally think Bosinver would be better suited to older kids where they can be allowed more freedom to explore the grounds and outdoor activities.
