Any recommendations please?

We will be travelling from Dundee to Campbeltown, so anything vaguely on that route considered.

TIA Smile

Try 'Argyll Holidays' they have wooden lodges on the banks of LochGoilhead. If you do decide to stay there though take food as there's only a smallish coop/spar type shop with literally nothing in it. They do weekend and midweek breaks

Addictively lovely!!! And the restaurant.... ahh. I could've died happy.

Bit of a trek for us but I'm going to make a point of going a couple of times a year. Just a gem of a place.

Loch Tay is sort of on the way from dundee to Campbelltown I think. It is very lovely there. Although I've not used the lodges a friend has and was very happy with them.

Glaikit - we only need two nights, and their minimum is Sad.

Mrscumberbatch, the marina looks lovely but i guess i was hoping for a bit more 'rural'? We will have 2DC with us, so somewhere we can open the doors and they can just 'run' appeals

Thanks all for trying. Will continue the search....

It's not quite on the way (Torridon), but we walked past it on a very special holiday in 2006 and I promised myself we would stay there one day. The view of Loch Torridon on a bright day is breathtaking :).

Actually, it might be a bit bigger than what you're after Blush.

They have them at Piperdam near Dundee, as a friend has stayed in one here

Hoseasons is good for browsing and filtering them. Then go and check prices against the site website.

Sharkbite.... Portavadie is incredibly rural. Lots of good woodland and forgotten beaches!

If you are next to a loch take your midge repellent

Try the Forest holidays site at Ardgarten, (they have hot tubs at other sites) so maybe this one , and its on the way. Near Arrochar. Its on Loch Fyne and close to Inveraray and ots of other nice places. This is the route to my holiday place and I love this road.
