Family self catering in London?

Looking for self catering accommodation for 2 adults and 2 kids (8 and 3) in London, 4 nights in 2nd week of July. Don't know London so not sure where to look and accommodation seems really expensive! Anyone got any hints for finding places? We want to be quite central for main attractions, museums etc. Hoping to do this on the cheap but is this just a dream in London?! Don't mind if its basic but just not grotty! thanks.

Hi, you might be able to find something reasonable by booking direct with an I tend to use PureHolidayHomes as they seem to have the most interesting homes available or the other good one is HolidayLettings
