Hi there,
I'm looking for some holiday ideas for the summer holidays. Our second baby is due the beginning of July so will be my hysband and i, our 3 year old daughter and new baby. basically, i wanted something/ somewhere where our daughter is central. Obv life will change a lot with a new baby and she is now at a lovely age.. was thinking maybe working farm holiday? Or maybe the lakes? any ideas would be great.

Google north hayne farm cottages in north Devon. Brilliant place, animal feedings every morning and evening, donkey rides, games room for rainy days, beautifully kitted out cottages with baby friendly everything from high chairs to gates. Home made takeaways to order, they will pack away any delivery you order from sainsbury's et al. Near enough (30 min drive) to attractions like the big sheep (brilliant fun) and beaches. Near town is sweet and has lovely tea room.

We are returning this year. Last year we went with our 3,5 year old son and 1 year old daughter. smile

We stay at Wringworthy holiday cottages near Looe. they have animals like chickens and donkeys and arent far from a beach either. also have a look at cartwheelholidays website for farm stays. we have used them lots of times in the past and found them really good. will make a note of north hayne for myself thanks drcrab.

If money is tight why not a caravan holiday?
Last year we took my 7 week old and 3 year old on a "sun holiday" to south devon, where we all had a lovely time.
My son loves Babbacombe model village and the beach, so it was excellent really.

Bosinver farm in Cornwall. We took DD (2yo) just before DS was born for exactly the same reasons and it was perfect. Magical holiday

Tredethick farm cottages in Cornwall. Went in Oct and booked again for this O t. DS was 2.5, DD 3m, and it was perfect.

The lakes are lovely with small kids - lots of small things that feel like mountains when you get to the top of them, but would be quite do-able with a 3 year old and a baby in a sling. Also boat rides, nice small towns, and the coast too.
