Mouldy bath toys

does anyone know how to stop bath toys going mouldy? Ours seem to last only a few months before filling up with gunge. I once tried cleaning a duck with bleach solutions squeezed inside it but even that didn't work (and it was only an experiment anyway - I didn't want to use bleach on something DD chews!). Don't want to have to buy new stuff every few months sad

Make sure you empty water at end
Put all in hot water with biological washing powder to clean

Thanks will give that a try, emptying water doesn't seem to make much difference - mayb because our shower is in the bath too.

When my ducks went mouldy I soaked em in Milton, making sure to get it inside and then gave them a good shake and squeezed it out, they haven't gotten mouldy since.

Chuck them in the dishwasher?
