Would be if I was in the UK Saggy (dsis lives approx 20 mins away)

Sorry to have missed it (and the pies of course!!) Grin

Is this an annual fixture? Regularly attend Suffolk show but haven't heard of one specific to Woodbridge?

Went to Area 7 at Slapton yesterday instead. Off to Windsor and South Suffolk this weekend so just hacked ponies in the Forest and washed the box!

We used to go to Woodbridge but never a favourite as they don't have "not befores" in the schedule and it can drag on horribly - they never seem to rush through the classes.

Having said that we know from FB that friends have had a good time there today - helped by the marvellous weather.

Yes Superfluous, Woodbridge Horse Show has been going for 141 years today! Always been on this Bank Holiday Monday in my memory and notable for charging an entry fee to the public even though it's only a horse show.

Butkin I was astounded! The shows we do are usually far fewer classes and go on for hours and hours! Woodbridge has over 100 classes and was over by 4pm barring a few affiliated jumping classes! It seemed really well organised!
I have lived in the area my whole life and have never heard about Woodbridge show until today! I am quite Blush
I'm going to sign DD up compete next year!

How did you get on at area 7 Butkin? I popped in after going to a show in the morning as its local for me and the workers ring was running so late. We are at south Suffolk on Sunday but not Windsor this year the pony is not looking good enough.

Glad I'm not the only one who didn't know about it Saggy I am a bit Blush too, given the amount of time it has been going! Will definitely put the date in my diary. Thanks Butkin

Saggy- that is good news. We love Trinity Park as a venue and I'm sure we'll be there again one year - just doing the BSPS circuit at the moment.

Mrmonkey - we love Area 7, went for the first time last year and although it is heaving it is beautifully run with great rings/surfaces.

DD was unlucky to be only 3rd in Junior M&Ms early in the day - thought she deserved at least 2nd but c'est la vie. His coat will only get better. She was then 6th in uber-competitive 128 Show Pony class. She and pony went well so that was most important to us (although strip could still have been better) At least we know that Phil Cooper doesn't like our particular type now.

We're probably a bit out of our depth at Windsor but good experience for DD as she's never ridden there before and our first time on grass with this pony. South Suffolk more in our comfort zone and we're looking forward to it although RIs are never easy. Ideally we'll ride both ponies there (willl take them both)but we think the two classes will clash (they usually do). SP will take precedence if they do.
