I've just received a press release from a riding club in London.

It's headlined 'Give the gift of horses this Valentines'. It then goes on to say "Women have long enjoyed a special relationship with the strong but vulnerable horse, thanks to an unrivalled ability to empathise with an animal that needs the most sensitive of handling." Apparently this "exclusive, private members’ club and concierge service provides access to quality horses."

I hope you've ALL had a very special relationship with your strong yet vulnerable horse grin

grin - as I sit here with sore hands from scrubing stables and bathing horses this morning i'm now just wondering about how so much more glamrous it could be!

A horse concierge would be marvellous <claps hands>

You could order off a menu of horses to be delivered to your front door, all shiny, tacked up, fit and responsive not to mention strong yet vulnerable

I was sceptical but think that - apart from the overblown PR guff - they are doing a pretty good job. If I lived in London and wanted an equestrian social life I think I'd consider joining. However I don't so I won't !

Having had another rubbish morning at the yard - smelly rugs to change, one lost shoe (pony's not mine!) and frozen fingers - this club sounds blooming tempting for £300 a year!!
