However the one I always buy from the store itself, not online, has a picture of a cat and dog on the bottle and particularly mentions cat urine. I don't know why I can't see it online. I'm sure the dog one will be fine though.
You just pour it over and it will soak in and, when it eventually dries there will be no more smell at all. I promise. I've used it on mattresses before now. Why do you think your cat did it? It's quite unusual. Could it be cystitis related?
Sprinkle a good layer of corn flour over the wet patch. It will soak up the liquid, but you have to leave it to soak it up overnight or all day. The you hoover. If it's still wet, do it again. When it's all soaked up, you clean with vinegar/bicarb and you can use corn flour again after if it gets really wet as dampness might give it a mouldy smell.
Yep I have also had that problem before in my old house. A little corner on the stairs there! Oh dear I really don't think it's going to come out, all of the foam is soaking. So rubbish we have nowhere else to sit and if we end up having to get rid we are having 16 people over for a party two weeks tomorrow. Grrrr!
