Am holidaying in Cornwall and there are buzzards everywhere, nearly ran one over in a country lane as we turned a corner and it was sitting quite unconcerned in the road. When we beeped it flapped slowly into a tree and sat looking quite cross at the inconvenience.
All our other holiday spots so far have been roadkill
I saw a Dark Green Fritillary which made me very happy and some Gatekeepers and Meadow Browns but buzzards quite scarce around here owing to all the bloody gamekeepers. Foxes a rare sight too. (What it is to live in the country with the landed gentry on the doorstep.) Love Cornwall- all the wild flowers. Saw seals there last week.
