Just that really I have had to close the blinds he is snapping at the air when i take him out he will run about in it playing then start barking and snapping ,sigh anybody elses dog been sent loopy with snow

The flying whippet thinks it's awesome when it's on the ground and darts through it as break neck speed, she is not so keen when it is falling from the sky and tries to hide from it by walking with her body held low to the floor, between me and my dad

Devil Dog has realised that the rabbits (wild, not pets) cannot see him as well in the snow (he is white - sometimes) which pleases him muchly, he still can't catch them though.

Whippy is not so fond, but loves chasing the flying whippet, so is coping, since the snow is making the flying whippet run more often.

The snow is as deep as my little dog's neck, so she's been bunny jumping in it. But then her feet and legs get snowballed up and she can't walk any more, so just now had to carry her home, where I had to de-snowball her indoors.
Yesterday, she flew out the back door before i had got the lead on her, and I have a canal at the back, which she could have fallen into. I called<shrieked> for her to come back to me, which stopped her, and could put her lead on - phew. Had visions of me jumping in when I can't swim to get her out. Lead on before opening back door in future, which I normally.

pimmsdog is driving me nuts, he wants to be out in the garden all the time. He runs around chasing the falling snow, rolling in it, leaping around and generally going nuts. Yesterday he finally fell asleep at 11pm (after I bribed him in with some roast chicken) he didn't want to get out of bed this morning until DD shouted "its snowing" then he was up and barking at the door to be let out without even a thought about breakfast

My pup seems to have regressed to snapping and pulling at my ankles.... Snow seems to have taken 3 months off him!

DDog encountered his first snow at the weekend. Cue lunacy, leaping into snowdrifts and much bouncing. Probably not helped though by us throwing snowballs for him since he's an insane young lab and turning him into a lunatic really isn't hard. My mother's elderly lab (who normally doesn't do anything active unless there's food at the end of it) has however also turned into a bouncing excited nutter, which is much funnier. Love to watch them!

Yup she went out for a wee and was ages. I went to check and found her licking the sticking snow off the back door.

Went out for a walk and she kept haring around trying to catch snowflakes and studiously avoided coming close enough to put back on the lead.

Oh and she was in the dog house with the smaller kids for stealing and eating their efforts at making a snowman.

LittleDog has been in the garden all weekend, he loves the snow.
BigDog is totally indifferent
and NewDog is not sure if he likes it or not.

Like weather's old lab, ours has raced around like a nutter and loves catching and eating a snowball or three.

I had to defrost Jas after he bunny hopped across the fields and came back with a fetching collection of snow testicles all over his legs and arse.

Puppy loves it too, been bouncing all over the place. Particularly loved me clearing the drive and dumping the contents of the snow shovel on him - what fun!!

Poor sod then went for a walk with his 'mates' the Vizsla and x-breed (and me!) in the fields so he's zonked now, lovely scenery though.

Yesterday I took him to the local golf course to cover a route that we can't usually do off lead. Nobody else seemed to have thought of the idea so we had the whole place to ourselves (me, DC and DH and dog!), he was bounding everywhere in the drifts etc.

And people - no mud, I love this no mud malarkey

cqdog has eaten the snowman's nose. Not popular.

But yy to the clean paws, such a welcome rest from the mud

ChinUpDog runs and runs and runs with his tongue hanging out. Which is unfortunate for me, as I can't run and run and run as I'm too fat to get him as I'm bundled up like the Michelin Man. I can only waddle and waddle and waddle and that's not fast enough. I lost him yesterday as he shot out of the house before I got the lead on him. He disappeared. I tried to follow the paw prints but the snow covered them before I could work out where the little bastard he had gone. Much calling of ChinUpDog's name in the neighbourhood before he came running back, tongue still hanging out, with a "where ARE you?" expression on his face.

But if I can get him on the lead in time, ChinUpDog has the mistaken belief that he is now a Husky - with much pulling on the lead like he's in training for an Alaskan Sled race. With me being the sled.

And in between the running and pulling me about, he's SuperHound, sniffing everything very intently, digging his nose into the ground and coming out with a layer of snow all over his nose. Thinks it's brill.

I said on another snowy thread how much I was looking forward to taking Gymdog out in the snow. I wasn't sure if he's seen it before.

No reaction at all. Killjoy.

Oh, apart from cocking his leg at snowmen which I think is gross.

well we have now reached to he wont pee in it stage he hasnt wed since this morning he is a mad mutt who is likely to burst very soon <rolls eyes>

The springer is the cleanest he's been since we first brought him home

needastrongone we found mud, pimmsdog dug down in the snow, found a frozen muddy puddle, broke the ice and rolled in it AAHHH

Littlepup loves the snow but is terrified of snowmen. He first met a large one on the golf course and barked like a loon at it but would not go near it. He crept round my parents garden this morning eyeing their small one warily. Very funny to watch.
