Old lab eating stones

Hi, this problem with our 10 year old labrador is a bit of a vicious circle really, I sort of know the cause of. When the weather is damp and rainy she is very reluctant to go out for walks or down the garden to do her business, this is due to her age I think. As a result she gets constipated then starts eating the stones to make herself vomit. I can see quite big stones in her sick and finally when she goes in her poos too. Soon as the weather improves she stops doing it. She goes out for small walks daily and because it gets very warm here (france) she eats 2 small meals a day instead of one large meal.
This problem has happened a few times now and does seem to sort itself out but I am concerned that some of the stones are passing right through her and could lead to an obstruction.
Any ideas? She is a good, well behaved dog but not very bright, difficult to discipline her over this except to chase her off when she tries to eat stones.
Am going to worm her again later just in case.

Don't let her eat stones!

While many may pass through, a blockage (as seen only this week on here) can be fatal. And very, very quickly. Eating stones is a very bad thing.

I think it is more important to establish why she is reluctant to walk at only 10 years old. To me it would indicate discomfort or illness of some sort. 10 is not old enough to just become idle for no reason.

It's also important to tackle the constipation. Have you added more fibre to her diet? Raw veg? Bran? More water if she is on dried food?

Do you think the stone eating has been going on for long enough to be a habit?
