I love the Waitrose one which is a repeat of last year except the final shot (was a boy last year), good recycling. DH was in a hot and dusty place (as a civi) last Christmas & travelling on chinooks so very relevant.

rachels103 · 15/11/2009 21:40

Who is singing the Sweet Child O Mine cover? It's lovely.

Mamazon · 15/11/2009 21:41

i have just seen the ad ( on tape) and as a JL employee, am really pleased that people like it. I didn't much like the last 2 we did, but this one got the thumbs up straight away at our branch. It is lovely, and funny and sweet. The group singing the song are a swedish band called Taken by Trees, and the concept is so cool. I used to open my pressies early and then (badly) sellotape them together. Sorry mum!

I like the Waitrose one better than the JL ones. I think the 2008 one was better than this year's. I don't think the song really fits to be honest - needs to be slower.

charlotteolivia · 17/11/2009 21:54

ha otter- the young couple are Zac Efron and whats-her-name vanessa something from High School Musical. The co-stars are dating..!
