So excited and cannot wait! Being from the most tellyvisually boring family in the world, I have only watched new-doctors but, even so, I am ridiculously excited about the day of the doctor!!

We tried to get tickets but it was sold out hmm going to use the money for a takeaway in front of the tv instead

All the seats at established cinemas sold out on friday - I think I was lucky because we had a new cinema open a couple of months ago so it isn't that well-known yet and they had a few tickets left saturday morning otherwise we would be doing the same. It's ds' s 13th the previous saturday so this is part of his birthday-box. Killing me not telling him - that's why I'm on here!!

Grrr I didn't know about it. Would love to have gone. Treat in front of TV here too. We have got a big screen and projector so will make a special nightoif it and pretend we are at the cinema

WTAF?! I just managed to book tickets at the O2 in Greenwich. No idea what the seats are like but who cares?!!! I'm very excited

I pondered it, dressing up and everything... going to be an amazing atmosphere. But I decided I'd rather stay at home and be in my PJs, ready to live comment on GB as soon as it finished.

Wow davros sounds like an opportunity for a party!

I have no whovian friends to cinema with so haven't bought tickets. my neighbour is having a Dr. Who night so i am going to that.

i am going to attempt cakes that look like fish fingers so we can have them with custard grin

There are bound to be loads of DW t-shirts etc on sale in the next few weeks. I will see what I can find to stretch round my vast body! We went to a DW concert at the Barbican ages ago and Russell T Davies was doing Q&A. He pointed to DD in her Dalek outfit and did a thumbs up! I don't think I will be able to persuade her to wear it again and it would probably be round her waist now!!

KCumberSandwich - brill idea. I may very well nick that plan and try to bake some "fish" fingers too. I bet there'll be orange sprinkles available online somewhere.

KCumberSandwich Sun 27-Oct-13 12:38:51

ooh orange sprinkles. i was goimg to attempt some sort of cake crumb outer layer. orange sprinkles will be much less effort more fun grin

i think there may be a fez and bow tie dress code also.

i love my neighbour grin

KayHarker Sun 27-Oct-13 13:14:27

From memory, the actual 'fish fingers' were made with coconut.

fish fingers and custard a good idea.

going to make dalek bread grin and use the cookie cutters from Lakeland I bought too.

don't forget the jelly babies ad celery!

were spoilt for choice on costumes as we have:

bowtie, fez and braces for 11th

curly wig, big hat, longcoat, jelly babies and a looooooong scarf for 4th

leatherjacket for 9th

I discovered this morning that it's on - have managed to book and am now getting excited.
Maybe I'll think about dressing up !

HellesBellesThinksSometimes Sun 27-Oct-13 20:15:53

The boy's in bed so I can get back to grinning with glee grin without ruining the surprise grin

Would mnhq give us fez-wearing smilies next month?
