Is anyone watching? I think it looks really promising I think.

CalamityKate Fri 01-Feb-13 00:39:24

I don't think Arby is Mr Rabbit. I wonder who is. Someone we've already seen or someone new?? Fascinating. Love it.

CalamityKate Fri 01-Feb-13 00:40:21

All this talk of messing with genetics and suchlike.... maybe Arby's pregnant!

How did everyone feel about that school scene at the begninning of last weeks episode? I found it very tough to watch.

CalamityKate Sun 03-Feb-13 10:41:13

It affected me far less than the torture scene in ep 1.

TBH I don't get the fuss. No children were actually seen shot and it isn't real. I don't get why the depiction of fictional children being shot is worse than anything else really.

Fiderer Sun 03-Feb-13 15:58:28

It was grim but they did it really well, imo.

I was expecting him to only kill the head but when he set off again, it was clear what would happen. The boy running in and out was one of those hold-your-breath moments and when he hesitated in the gym, another.

Are people planning to watch tonight? I'm really looking forward to it!

SpanishFly Tue 05-Feb-13 22:00:23

I'll be watching the Following tonight, then Utopia tomorrow :-)

CalamityKate Wed 06-Feb-13 00:29:51

Poor Arby. I'm starting to want to give him a hug.

SaladIsMyFriend Wed 06-Feb-13 12:58:15

After watching the first 3 episodes through my fingers wondering if I actually enjoy this programme or just hate the violence too much, I found last night's episode flew by and was gripping. Also felt sorry for Arby, which is incredible after all the things he's done.

Haven't got a clue what is going in though confused

But it's kind of good to watch something where you haven't got a clue what's going to happen next, for a change!

crunchbag Wed 06-Feb-13 16:30:46

Yes poor Arby, 'when they couldn't remember your name, they started calling you raisin boy, rb.

I am still confused about it all but is is fascinating.

valiumredhead Wed 06-Feb-13 17:01:58

Just seen it - still like grin

Oodsigma Wed 06-Feb-13 20:23:01

Watched, still confused & loving it, dh likens it to Twin Peaks

Fiderer Thu 07-Feb-13 06:23:53

I just watched it - continues to be good. The pace seemed different somehow, or maybe you get used to it! Really good scenes with Arby. Also think Grant and Alice are v good actors.

If The Network are chasing Jessica and Arby asks "Where's JH?" the whole time, how did the sinister Assistant know where she was?

Rollergirl1 Thu 07-Feb-13 10:39:46

Fiderer: They (Letts and his assistant) always seem to know where they are, so I don't understand why they don't just send someone else to kill them.

Also why would they just let Arby take the manuscript when they have spent so long trying to track it down. Arby is a scary fucker but they are still his bosses and it doesn't make sense that they would just let him go.

And what's going on with Becky? She's definitely working for someone but it's not The Network. On the phone she said something like "What's going on, are they poisoning people?" which makes it sound like she knows who "they" are and has had some kind of involvement somewhere along the line.

AWeeBitConfused Thu 07-Feb-13 18:35:50

Did Becky not say that there was a new genetic disease deels? That has started and was drawn in utopia.

Did her dad not die from it and did she nor reveal that when the background from all those that had died from it was looked into they all shared the one thing that they had all worked for the evil drug company.

Becky is seen taking pills out of little plastic bags. I think she has deels and the people she is working with are also sufferers who are all trying to get to the bottom of things so they can get a cure.

iwouldgoouttonight Thu 07-Feb-13 20:43:21

Aweebitconfused, I agree, I think Becky has Deels too, when she dropped her cup of Fanta it was like she was losing her coordination.

My new theory is Jessica's dad is also Mr Rabbit. Jessica and Arby are his children so would be Jessica rabbit and Piotr (peter) rabbit.

I'm sure I am wrong but enjoy thinking about it.

Rollergirl1 Thu 07-Feb-13 21:19:38

AweeBit: I agree too about Becky having Deels and she's slowly starting to deteriorate.

iwould: Wow, d'yknow, i think you've got it! For the past two episodes i've been trying to work out a link between Arby and Jessica, because they quite clearly have one! I think yours is the link!

I also read a review saying that Grant and Alice are the new Arby and Jessica of the future and spent some time thinking about how they could all be linked. Perhaps we can all work it out??

Rollergirl1 Thu 07-Feb-13 21:30:41

Thinking about it further, i think both Jessica and Arby (Pietry, Peter) were his first test subjects. And they named them after rabbits, rabbits being the most tested upon animals?

Fuck, they're both rabbits??! grin

Arby has the degenerative gene which manufactures itself as "Deels".

What does Jessica have?

Does anyone know if Arby really shot the boy with the raisins in the gym? He went to his bosses and said 'there was a boy and he had these raisins and I couldn't do it' or words to that effect - I'm hoping he didn't kill him and he can be a witness to the fact it wasn't Grant wot dunnit!
He's def got something under that coat.
Is Philip Carvel supposed to be dead? So can't be mr. Rabbit? Was thinking maybe the new pm? Seems to have a lot of power. Not really weird enough though.

maxmillie Thu 07-Feb-13 22:49:44

Think he's minister of health not pm?

Great rabbit theory
