Seen the first episode of the new series. It's great imo

It's not set in the house but in an asylum for the criminally insane.

I saw it too. Won't give spoilers. I absolutely loved it. AHS episodes always linger with me the following day. It's gripping, weird, multilayered and disturbing rather than scary. Obviously we're only one episode in but I already prefer it. Ryan Murphy says that this series should intrigue/disturb the viewer more than S1 did because S1 was pure fiction and this year it's all based on true stories. Many S1 actors are back as new characters. Jessica Lange is powerfully incredible again this year.

Squeal!!!! I love Season 1. The creepy opening titles alone were enough to give me the jitters.

I loved it but it was very different to what I thought it was going to be. I thought it was going to be the same house with different ghosts.

Still, can't complain. Found it creepy with the added delight of Adam Levine.
