.....from the makers of Buffy and Angel ! Starts 13 Feb on Watch (I think)
Apart from that and the ads - anyone know anything else about it?

Thanks - I didn't want to dig around just in case I discovered too much
I knew I had seen another similar thing advertised ('Once Upon a Time' ) , couldn't remember what it was but its mentioned there .
I'll be watching both .

Yep I am waiting excitedly for this as well
Got it sky+ed - will have to wait till mil's gone on saturday!!
We quite enjoyed the first one, some extremely nice touches in places. It irritated me immensely the way they kept saying 'from the team that brought you Buffy' in all the pre-publicity though. Technically they're right but Buffy = Whedon in my book!

I really, really enjoyed this. Am impatient for the next episode and that's not like me.

Just watching it on watch+1 and for now, love it. Bit spooky but love it....
I have a feeling this may be my new guilty pleasure - and astonishingly DH liked it as well (he always dissed Buffy
). Pilot episode was very good, let's hope it stays the same.
Although, I'm thinking Joss is following a formula - the first time I saw the police chief I said "he'll be a baddy" ...and he was.

Oh, it is good! Just got round to watching the first one this morning as DCs back to school.
I think it may be my new favourite
.
Sorry to disappoint you guys but as far as I know, Joss Whedon is not involved in Grimm. I know it's confusing because the adverts say From the makers of Buffy blah blah blah, but its because David Greenwalt is involved with the production of Grimm and not Joss. David Greenwalt was the co-producer of Buffy and co-created Angel too. A friend of mine made the same assumption. She rang me to tell me Joss Whedons new show was starting that night. Sorry but its not Joss. It's still good though, I enjoyed the first ep!

I've been watching it for a while (I think we're about ep 8/10?). It's ok and I am enjoying it, and if I'd never seen Buffy I would think it was really good and original. But I'm a little disappointed because - having loved Buffy - I thought the one bit they'd update would be the special effects/monsters.
I get the impression, too, that David Greenwalt is very scared of friendly-looking dogs and assumes everyone else is too. You know how the werewolves in Buffy were really really crap? Well ... like that.
I love the Blutbad (sp?) character though.
Ah, when I heard the 'from the team' thing, I instantly thought Joss - how annoying that it isn't.
Oh well, still good!
Lol LtEve that's what they wanted you to believe...
The language geek in me adored they way they corrected the plural of Blutbad
.

I really enjoyed this, looking forward to the next one. I've never seen Buffy though so I didn't take any notice of that in the trailers.

Ace - yeah, I loved that too!
Does a linguistic hi-5 to Jericho
I have a friend in Germany who is trying to track me down some of the 'original' gruesome fairy tales, which I think will be a fab read!
