Not sure if on the right thread but anyway here goes son's girlfriend is 18 next week, son was 18 couple of weeks ago and her parents bought him a lovely leather wallet, don't know girlfriend that well, but she seems nice, got her a token gift for christmas but woulld like to get her something nice for her birthday around the £30 - £40 mark, do you think that a really nice clutch bag from monsoon would be ok, thinking along the lines of a black one that she could use now and when she was older, thoughts please ali

Think it's a really nice idea. We got DS's girlfriend a Pandora charm for her 18th - nice to be given something you can keep.

son's getting her one of those so wanted to get something different thought a black clutch bag would be a really useful thing to have as she grows up and goes out

I think you're right - it would be lovely. I also think she'll love saying her bf's parents bought it for her!

I dont think many 18 year olds are into clutch bags my dd and her friends arent , I know your thinking of it though , if your son is getting her a char bracelet what about getting her a photo frame with 18 on it or something like that as you dont know her that well yet but its a keep sake , MY dd got 1 for her birthday she loves it and has a photo of her friends on her birthday day out m
