penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

Duo drove me into Steve Madden's arms (or boots)

(11 Posts)
My Duo boots arrived today. After nearly 2 weeks of waiting due to delivery issues etc. I ripped them open & was so disappointed I cried in frustration (I looked forward to them so much foolish woman). The foot's great but the leg was just shoddy & crap & disappointing. Dp pointing out they're the 3rd Duo pair I've sent back in a year made me see red.

I wanted smart black boots. After my Duo pair were safely packaged for return I went shopping and I came home with these in the pale colour. Please come & tell me they're lovely & what I should wear with them. And anyone who can suggest a similar black pair gets my eternal & sincere gratitude.

What the hell goes with these new ones?
cleaningsucks you're quite right, I owe you a large thank you. I have ordered said boots & am eagerly awaiting their arrival. Everywhere I'd looked suggested they only came in 2 shades of brown so your link made me very pleased. Thank you very much grin.

Whilst sincere and eternal gratitude is probably a bit much, I believe I linked you to your boots but in black.
I will call them but I doubt they'll be able to do anything. The leather of the shoe and leg parts are totally different. The shoe part is really structured but the leg's really soft. The service has been brilliant but I didn't like the boots at all.

Yes I think a call into Duo would be helpful. I know from personal experience that they take customer feedback very seriously.

what is wrong with your DUO ones?
I have 3 pairs and they are all great- love Kiorv and Orestano.

maybe you should contact Duo and explain- or go to their shops if you can.

That's odd that you are having problems with Duo. I've got 6 pairs in the wardrobe and the quality has always been superb.

here?
Thanks for these suggestions. I'm not keen on the first ones as I want real leather but thanks Pip. Somehow I'd missed the Office ones. I like them but think the stitching -which seems to go down the front - may not be to my liking. I might try & find somewhere to try them on.

Any suggestions for what I can wear my new ones with?

They've got quite a few black boots of a similar style in office. How about these ones
What about these ones?

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
