penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

I've just bought a fantastic pair of trousers for apple shapes

(33 Posts)
I'm an extreme apple, I'm possibly even a brand new shape called "sphere" as my waist is bigger than my hips. wink I've just bought these and they are great. Usually if trouser fit me at the waist they are like clown trousers on my hips but these are nice and snug. I've only worn them twice so I'm not sure how well they will stand up to all the kneeling and crawling that goes with having a toddler, but so far they are very comfy.

Someone on another thread had a 20% discount code (OKMAG), and a free delivery code (free22). Thank you for that, I ought to go back and find your name to give you proper credit but I'm too lazy busy. grin
They're not skin tight over the calf but they are quite close fitting. My calves are fairly large though, so someone with elegant legs would have more flappage. You would definitely have to do a bit of a wrap over at the ankle though as it's straight-cut from the knee downwards.

I've never worn my trousers tucked into my boots (see large calf issue above) so I'm not sure what sort of trousers are best suited to that.
Hi Bran, are these quite straight? would they be 'skinny' enough to go inside boots?
Oooh, I feel like a fashion guru, a totally new feeling for me.

I can't find the vest online at the moment, but it's very similar to Gok's Divine Outline but shorter so that it goes to the hips which means it can be worn with trousers. I'll keep looking.

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
