Recipe of the week

penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

STUPID IDEA FROM JIMMY CHOO ~ IMHO

(33 Posts)
ok ~~~ I would never buy these shoes cos they don't come big enough and I wouldn't be able to walk in them

BUT seriously why would you buy a pair of expensive shoes only to be told you NEED to get them re soled before wearing them cos the sole is made of leather

If I did want to buy them I think I would feel cheated and then only wear them indoors nut those heels would ruin the floors

What do you think??????

HERE IS THE WEBSITE

If you click on the INFO button next to the shoes it explains why

weird or sensible????????

hmm
I think the clothes look cheap and very uninspiring but the shoes are mostly fab. Love the blue ones.
Given that the social highlight of my week is toddler group in the church hall, I shan't be buying them wink

I'm going to appear a bit unhinged with my multiple posting, but basically, when the shoe is sold it's just an objet d'art (as the designer would see it probably!) and you have to convert it from art into footwear.

Riven those sites make me feel old! I was looking at the Swatch website a while back as I did buy a nice swatch (there are some suitable for adults!) and it was all yooths in baggy jeans surfing or something. took me ages to find the watches

It is standard for shoes like this. I get mine resoled with very thin rubber soles instead of leather because then you don't slip. But it is irritating, I agree.
what a load of shit.
I'm guessing they don't keep them ina pile by the door like we do grin
Can you imagine clambering over 400 pairs of pointy shoes wink

I think a lot of very rich (seriously rih) women buy shoes like their grandmothers would have bought crystal figurines or broches... they never wear them. they just want to own them.
that H&M site is not easy to navigate. Its all about loud images rather than showing the products.

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]
For a shocked face, , type [shock]
For an angry face, , type [angry]
For an embarrassed face, , type [blush]
For a sad face, , type [sad] or :(
For an envious face, , type [envy]
For a sceptical face, , type [hmm]
For a no comment face, , type [biscuit]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
