Recipe of the week

penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

My secret spot recipe - get a cheapo aspirin tablet (dissolvable) (16p in Tesco for a pack) and squish it in your palm with a little water to make a paste. Apply to spot. It contains salacylic (sp?) acid which is what is in the v expensive spot cream and will zap any spot overnight.

Though paste on your chin overnight is not such a good look ... DH will think you've missed with the toothpaste.
aftershave dabbed on spot can be very good at drawing them out
Clinique do a great on the spot zapper, clears up spots like you are describing in 12-24 hours I find.

Mag sulphate paste from chemist. Don't think it's expensive (comes in a little pot.) It sometimes helps to draw things out like that.

Also good if you have splinter or something in your finger that needs to come out.

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
