penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

gingerly I got mine done in Newbury, but the price is a bit Newbury too - £35 for toes (includes all the pedicure stuff too but only takes about 20 min all in) this is the woman who does it, she's got all the minx designs on the website and will order designs in for you if you give her enough notice normally. Part of the pricing is that you can't get it anywhere else for miles.

I found they'd last a good 6 weeks, although I go around barefoot quite a lot and they rub off a bit if you wear shoes without socks. You can peel them off yourself in the bath but they might leave some residue - I just picked it all off, or if you get hooked then removal is part of the deal when you go back for another design. smile
I do the same with pirate plasters.

hi - its pickyvic under a new name btw - i got a bit of a shock when i took them off - thought they had ruined my toenails but im assured by the beauty therapist that its just the residue left from the glue! (it looks awful!)

ill have them done again but maybe not in the winter.

think they would be hard to do on fingers. you can overlook imperfections on your toe nails, and they are quite hard to get perfect.

Wow I've never heard of this. I love the mirror ones in the link! I NOW WANT MINXED TOENAILS!grin
Anyone had them done on fingers ? I usually have gel overlays when I need good nails for an extended period for work, but a salon near me is doing minx now, and I thought it might be interesting to try

I've had mine on for about a month - getting them redone tomorrow. They don't use UV lamp just a small hairdryer. The big toe tends to lift first IME.

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
