OK, so I need a drapy, light, summery cardi that is long enough to wrap over flabby flaws but still drapey enough to seem slimming.

There were some nice ones in John Lewis today - knitted linen, about mid-thigh to hip length I would say depending on how tall you are. Their own brand, and they were reduced in the sale.
