What to dress a crawling dd in for a wedding?

Not sure if this is the right place for this question, but I'm having a dilemma over what to put my dd in for a wedding. I got her a lovely dress a few months back, but it is quite long and she can't crawl in it and gets all cross. She is going to need a bit of a crawl around at various points during the day so I'd rather dress her in something she can move around in. the problem is I can't seem to find any pretty dresses in her size (12-18months) that are nice and short. Or I'd even happily dress her in some smart trousers or bloomers, but can't find any of those either. Any suggestions anyone?

Monsoon have some gorgeous knickerbocker type trousers and matching blouses. They would look lovely for an autumn wedding.

Hmm, that sounds nice. Knickerbockers sound like the kind of thing I'm after

def trousers and a pretty top - looking at her bottom in tights is not a good look

hennes and monsoon would be good places to look

What about a knitted shortish dress that won't crease with thick tights?

Ah, hadn't thought of Hennes, will try there too. Like the knitted dress too. Don't think we have a Gap here, but will look out for similar. Such a shame dd can't wear all these pretty party dresses. She got so cross when I put the dress on her, started trying to pull the skirt part off!

You could try a amaller size, a lot of them are pretty much the same width just a diff length.

Frilly knicks over tights too.

or this with tights? My DD just wore it to a wedding a few weeks ago, not yet crawling but nice and comfy for the day.
