Hiya,

I have a wedding in a month and it will be the first wedding I've been to as a guest instead of BM so I have no idea what to wear! DS is the ring bearer and has a very nice suit so I don't really want to look like a scruff next to him.

Do you think these 2 things go? If not, do you have any suggestions for a dress that will match the shoes...I frickin loooove the shoes :)

Shoes
Dress

I'm a 14/16, dark hair and very, very pale.

Thanks :)

The shoes are fab! The dress is OK in a Coast sort of way but if you love those shoes tou can do much, much better.

thsi style (basic dress shape) appeal at all?

I honestly don't know what I think about those shoes. However, the dress is beautiful and I do think they will go together.

I do like that shape but didn't really see any when I was out today (well, that weren't covered in a hideous print)

I saw the shoes ages ago and they have stuck with me so I must have them Grin They come in pink as well....

That purple dress is gorgeous.

Well, they aren't to ever ones taste but I like individuality.

teal
this?
this?
this?

THey aren't so easy to find on the highstreet, no. WOrth ordering though. THe purple and the teal are best with a petticoat.

Those shoes are heinous.

The dress is very drab and as someone with identical colouring I can't see that colour being flattering.

Not sure id be brave enough for the shoes but then I am a plain jane kinda girl!

Id say you need more colour in the dress to go with them shoes. Id pick out the pink of something of the flowers. With your pale skin a pale/nude coloured dress may make you look really washed out/even paler.

Those shoes. those shoes are. Those shoes.....

Please don't buy them. Please.

I love the dress, but hate the shoes. Grin

I would definitely come over and talk to you though.

Actually, the dress looks like you might freeze if it's a cold day...you'd need a cardi, and it's not a cardi type of dress.

Meh. If the OP both loves the shoes and has the balls to wear them then my bet is that she's probably got the innate self confidence and style to carry anything them off.

The shoes Shock

Is the dress not a bit wishy washy if you are very pale?

UnrequitedSkink · 20/05/2013 17:53

If you are pale fgs don't go for nude toned dress, they won't be able to see you (apart from your shoes wandering merrily about on their own)

I think a deep purple dress would work brilliantly.

If this lot have scared you off your shoes you might find some solace in wearing this hat instead.

The shoes are utterly hideous not really my taste, but if you like them, that's what's important. Irregular Choice shoes do tend to divide people on here.

I agree with others re the dress you posted. Even without the shoes it's just a bit boring and wouldn't work on pale skin.

The 50s style dress in a deep raspberry, with pale cream cardi would work. 50s hair.

and with luck no one will notice the shoes

The shoes stay Grin

They are very 'me' or at least 'me-before-DS-when-I-had-the-time-and-money'. I wouldn't go as far as the hat tho Grin

I like the teal dress. I take the point about a nude dress with pale skin (not very good at this dress shopping lark)

I love the shoes. I don't think the dress goes at all though!

Is this too short?

Or a maxi in a bold colour might be good?

I do like some irregular choice shoes but not those ones-sorry! But if you love them then get them. But no way with the dress you linked too-they really do not "go" AT ALL!!

I love Lady vintage-I knew ms lettuce would link to thenGrin-and they have loads of dresses on there that would look great with the shoes. They just released their tea dresses in 7 new prints last night-I think the butterfly one would love stunning with those shoes-sorry cant do links!

The butterfly dress was lovely, saw it last night. I would pick out the red in your shoes, it would go with pale skin and dark colouring.
The vintage style of dress would go well with the shoes.
