Help me find some dresses I can wear in the day as I'm sick of skiing jeans and want to a little more polished.
Size 14 and 5'7
Come help me find some nice dresses and show me what you have?
I like this apart from the buttons down the front

Oh like the NW3 one that's the kind of thing could even live with the frilly bit at the front...
Have booked marked it
I hate to say it but boden's got a sale on, some bargain day dresses at 70% off....
Ooh I love that blue people tree dress! I HATE ties too - they interfere with cardigans etc, it's just lazy pattern cutting! Wow, I never realised I had such strong feelings about dresses!
Me neither until I decided enough I want a couple of good nice dresses.
This boden (shudder) might not be too bad but depends on how bad the material is a 7 weeks wait is just silly
I am 5'10 and need a 14 or sometimes a 16 to get a bit of extra fabric for length. IYKWIM.
It is so hard to get daywear to fit when you are tall. Waists are always too high on dresses. I am watching with interest as I would love to wear dresses with tights and ankle boots too.
Maybe I should get the sewing machine out as there is a demand for dresses that don't tell you what colour knickers I'm wearing but not a Whistles prices.
I have boobs and long legs so sometime need a 16 too
Between us we must be able to find some?!?
That liner one would be good for work I think unless the front attracts attention to my gut?
I'm wearing [[ http://www.matalan.co.uk/fcp/product/fashion-to-buy-online/-Dresses/-Floral-Print-Belted-Jersey-Dress/67871&resultsPerPage=100&attrList=Dept,brand this]] one at the moment, it'd much nicer on than in the picture. They have a different colourway too, and a bargain at £16
Oh, I'm a size 18/20, and it's clingy where you'd want it to be to not look like a sack of spuds, and extra fabric round the skirt but to house a multitude of sins!

(Thanks DS2 aged 14 months for that last post...)
On a roll now, I've also just got a couple from Mantaray in Debenhams - this one and another that's not on the website, they have quite a few others but they're a certain kind of print, exactly my style but not for everyone I'd guess
<slight hijack> Watching with interest as I'd love to wear more dresses, but I can never seem to find anything with sleeves, or more than short sleeves. That's fine in summer but how do you not freeze to death in winter? It's january, I want to be warm! Is it just a matter of wearing things over them? What sort of things? Am a bit stylistically challenged...
this arrived today from Great Plains (bargain!) and it's GORGEOUS - I'm so happy - I love dresses with pockets. (please bear in mind that I'm a redhead with brown eyes when dismissing colours! haha)
I love that Great Plains one knitknack.
are you in London? there are some lovely ones in Anthropologie on sale at the moment. The website is good too, but saw nicer ones in store.
Never think to look at Matalan will have a look on website sadly not in London til the end of the month and I guess they will be all gone by then
Fuck me the great plains site is annoying. Am I doing it wrong?
I got some nice dresses in the Dorothy Perkins sale yesterday
On the high street there's a range at Dorothy Perkins called Billie & Blossom that has lovely day dresses. I bought 2 recently in the sale!
Online: I've bought quite a few dresses from Ruby Rocks - v quirky prints in flattering shapes. They have their own website but also sell through Joy. They also have their own small shop in London on Great Portland Street, which I discovered by accident!
(I'm on my phone so apologies for the lack of links)
Billie and Blossom for BookFairy. Hope that links properly as doesn't look as if it will?
Good it did
