I have a millennium nails one which was in a wowcher offer with 4 colours, lamp, top coat, base coat and the stuff to prep and take it off with - was £70 ish and find it just as good as salon version. You have to make sure you do thin coats and keep nails under the lamp for full 2 mins each layer, which can be a faff. But you just take your time while watching tv. I've also bought other colours of varnish from eBay (cheap ones for £2 from china which took ages to arrive but are also vv good)
If you regularly paint your nails, then it will work out cheaper over time.
I've never had gel nails put on in a salon, but have always wanted to, the cost has put me off. A friend recommended a kit to try at home. After the initial outlay, it should work out more economical. She said to try, 'Sensationail', £70 at Boots. Has anyone tried this or any other kits? Thanks
