Who does lovely, "luxury" pyjamas?

A dear friend has asked for some pyjamas for Christmas. She has had a tough year and I want to give her something that will feel nice, look nice and be a bit more exciting than a pair from M&S or the like.

Any ideas? Happy to spend up to 100 pounds for this friend.

A friend of mine (and ex sex columnist in a national newspaper) swears by this company...

Another vote for hush Since I have found them, I haven't shopped anywhere else for PJs.

I have always got really nice J by Jasper Conran or B by Ted Baker ones from Debenhams. Nice mix of cosy luxury, usually a mix of silk & soft jersey.
Not cheap but not crazy expensive either.

Lauren by Ralph Lauren? They're about £100 I think.

Hush pyjamas are fab. I usually wait for the sales.

Try TK Maxx. May be something there maybe not.

Big NO to Hush. I have a couple of pairs from there and they have gone really bobbly and hard.

I have some from the white company which are the same age and are just cut that much better and the fabric is still soft.

I wash and wear the 2 pairs of white company pjs I have and the rest languish in the cupboard.

Am waiting for the sales for my next pair!

If Derek Rose not suitable, then can really recommend women's pjs from

Brooks Brothers especially if you are long in the leg. Really beautiful cotton that last and last. I have had one pair for over ten years!

And no, I wouldn't spend £400 on pjs either ... Grin

Dh loves Derek Rose cotton lounge shorts and t-shirts. Really beautiful soft cotton that washes beautifully and lasts forever.

Just to add I got bought some Derek rose pyjamas last Christmas, but def no where near £400!
I know they were expensive, but honestly the best I have ever had, always sad when they are in the wash.
It's the quality of the cotton, it's divine!

Urrrr no offence...but some seriously hideous PJs being touted about on this thread!

I have a few pairs of Ralph Lauren pj's - a tartan winter pair with a black lace edged long sleeve tee top, and a blue and white cotton striped pair with the same top in white.

They are gorgeous and come in a lovely gift box.

Hint: if you buy them in an Outlet, like Bicester, you could get her a nice cable knit blanket too?

Tommy Hilfiger will be doing a gorgeous tartan gift tin with cashmere socks in this year. I was achingly fawning over some samples in their Supplier showroom last week, and heavily hinting unsuccessfully for a gift sample. Sad

Another big no to Hush, not as a special present, they wear terribly and can be very hit and miss size wise.

Brora, Toast, Celtic Sheepskin all lovely.

Also, there's a designer of really lovely (more modern) sleep and lounge wear -who I think may be Dutch- whose collection is entirely in gorgeous, soft, grey, good quality cotton. Wracking my brains to think of her name/outlet. Will research and get back to you.
