What is your favourite pair of jeans?

I am on the look out for a couple of new pairs of jeans, after mine have all gone through at the knees (too much crawling around after the DCs!) and am after some recommendations.

In the past, I have loved a pair of J Crew Vintage Slim jeans, until they got too holey in the knee.

I have got a great pair of GAP High Rise Skinny Jeans at the moment, although they are a tad on the skinny side, not v comfy for every day wear.

I do like TS Baxters, but find they get a bit baggy after a while.

FWIW, I am 5'6" and pretty slim, legs are my best feature - hence my desire to find some flattering jeans.

So c'mon S&B'ers - which jeans do you rate?

I love James Jeans, they are mega skinny and don't seem to stretch.

Great - will add to the list. Any specific name for them or just skinny?

just bought [http://www.frenchconnection.com/product/Woman+Collections+Jeans/74GZS/Tiffany+Skinny+Jeans.htm[French Connection]] skinnies. I too like Baxters, these are tighter fit though - breathe in!

Thanks, another pair to try.

Any boyfriend jean / straight leg suggestions? Am quite partial to boyfriend jeans, I like Gap's sexy boyfriend but would like to find something comparable as I don't always like the colours/washes they have in store.

I find Levis fit me best - not the cheapest I know but tend to last longer that less expensive brands as well.

I love 7's but they don't last long

I've just bought some M&S Limited boyfriend jeans and they are great, v comfy, that said my skinnies are prob more flattering.

I've just bought some Next Relaxed Skinnies which are very nice but not as nice as my Gap High Rise Skinnies (flattering, comfy and never fall down!).

I have just bought some MiH. Love them! Previously 7's but as someone else said before they do wear out after a year .... But I do wear jeans a lot!

Wearing MiH right now - they do beautiful soft denim.
I have found it practical to have jeans in all the current styles (except boyfriends that don't look good on me): skinny, bootcut, straight leg and flare, so that I can choose the right pair based on the proportions of the outfit. Voluminous coatdress - skinnies; close-fitting cropped jacket: bootcuts or flares. More dressed-up classic look: straight-leg. I also have lighter denim for summer and deep indigo shades for winter.

Goldsign high rise Virtuals are my absolute favourites, but they are the best part of £300 which is crazy. Also like Nudie High Kais which are more sensible at c. £90. I favour a higher rise.

I have a pair of next ones and they are very comfy, nice stretch to them

I love Nudie jeans. They fit really well, don't go baggy at the knees and aren't hugely expensive.

Top shop baxters.
Leigh ok but too thin. Could imagine they emphasize fat legs

Have you tried Gap real straight?

Zara trf skinnies and diesel boyfriend jeans
Also like primark super skinny in black as they stay both black and tight

Interesting MiH get good reviews here as I've a couple of pairs and have vowed never to get them again. Both seem to have stretch around the waste and now fall down :(
I agree with the Zara recommendation, I have also managed to find shorter length ones in the which means I don't have to get the shortened (I'm short).

I really like MiH and Avedon skinnies. But I still think my ultimate ones are out there.

I've tried too many jeans. So much depends on your actual shape - goldsigns do nothing for me but j brand are good. Equally 7's are hideous on me but I like MiH.

But my best discovery recently has been River Island amelie or lana - particularly the latter which has a flattering high rise. And they cost £30.

Wow - so may replies, thank you!! Just popping out to my running club (gotta keep the pins in top shape!) but will read through later. Thanks again...

H&M straight. I got them off the sale rail for a fiver but they fit me like a glove. They are slightly higher fitting than I'm used to, nice and soft, with a good stretch.
