Or bloggers rather, that don't wear trousers?
I like to wear skirts or dresses. Every blog I have looked at features lovely slim girls in skinny jeans and a top. There must be someone out there who doesn't wear trousers, or am I the only one?
Dolly I've had that Jigsaw skirt through several weight fluctuations / sizes. It seems to work ok as it just sits lower when I am smaller, and expands without looking tight or feeling uncomfortable when I am a bit heavier.
Some Jigsaw offerings seem ti have gone slightly 'off piste' in the last couple of years - but that skirt is an exception - good example of what they used to do well - reliable, flattering basics. Need more like it!
DryWhite - my blog link is up thread on Dolly's post of 3 Oct 18:07:29. I am slightly worried all you real stylish people can see it - it is woeful - just my mad ramblings and some very bad pics
. Anyway - enjoy giggle!
rural and wombat blog link to me too please.....love blogs.thanks
I thought those flaps on the front would make my stomach look even bigger but they actually lie very flat. I've looked up the cardigan and seen its sold at JL, trying to justify buying it with getting extra JL points on the credit card!
I have ordered hundreds of pounds worth of clothes recently, nearly all of which have been sent back. I lost weight last year, sold all my clothes, then put weight back on which has left me with literally no winter clothes. So when I find something that fists well and I like it, it's a bit of a rarity.
BTW, here is the link to Dolly's and my skirt! (in case anyone is wondering what we are going on about!)
Jigsaw cord skirt
Dolly that's fab - you will get loads of wear from the skirt!
If it's any consolation, I have Jigsaw clothes from about 12 years ago which are still going strong - the skirts (esp cord) and the knitwear (from back then anyway) are pretty indestructible I find!
Hope you enjoy it.
PS They may have a 'sale' by Christmas - IIRC it started pretty early last year...
Rural, I went into my local town centre today, and where Kew used to be is now Jigsaw! So I went in to browse, ended up buying the skirt in a lovely raspberry colour. Unfortunately I fell in love with a cardigan too, DH was with me so I've asked for it for Christmas but I think I must be insane, it way to many £££.
I have found another blog A million dresses
Dolly - yes I would say so (although haven't shopped in Hobbs for a while).
OK thanks Rural. So in whatever size you take, would it be the same size as Boden, Hobbs and/or White stuff for example?
Dolly - no I have never known Jigsaw to do any discounting (other than sale, obi) - they very occasionally offer free P&P - but that's it!
Dolly - I think Jigsaw is fairly true to size these days, they used to be on the generous side IMO but not so much now. Although the shape of that particular skirt is generous to pear shapes, as it is cut larger over the hips.
Hopefully - Dolly has already done the honours with a link. :-)
Sorry, not sure how the useless Boden link got in there!
And also, do Jigsaw do any discounts, offers, regular sales? Don't really want to spend that much on a skirt, especially if they do 25% off the following week!
Rural, can I ask you about Jigsaw sizing? The last time I bought something from there was circa 1986, a pink angora jumper when I was a student (that my mum then put in the washing machine and shrank. Not that I'm holding a grudge or anything). Apart from the skirt/dress rule I am also trying a no black rule, but the dark pink looks lovely. I have been asking for skirts with back or side zips for ages
. How does it compare with Boden sizing, or Hobbs?
Rural, Wombat etc why don't you jut post link here? I'm sure no one is going to accuse you of advertising after so many requests for links! I bet there are lurkers who won't pm who would like to visit.
Also I have a blog and I want to see yours to compare
PMs sent. Avenue - can you PM me yours too please?

Thanks Wombat!
Thank you!
. PMs have gone out.
I love browsing blogs too, and I agree with you lurkingaround they are better than magazines though I might be a bit biased.
Like your blog Rural!
Wombat will you PM me your blog? Thanks.
Another blog addict here
, I eagerly check for latest blog posts etc.
At least they don't cost money. Magazines are ch-ching.
Blogs. The new magazines. Mostly without the stupid ads. I hate those high-end magazine ads. I find them really irritating. Really irritating. Apologies. Ramble over.
And me please!
Me too please.
