Bumping because I also want to know the answer - only recently started wearing skinny jeans and I don't know where to start!

Banana republic have some nice items of work wear. I've recently converted from wearing flared trousers to straight leg (not quiet skinny fit). I'm pear shaped and always thought they were more flattering but love my new look, and I think they suit me much better!

Thanks for your replies. I have always been a bootcut wearer by default as I thought it suited my leg shape better. By chance I tried on some skinny jeans and although it will take a bit of getting used to, they don't look as bad as I thought they would. All of my work trousers are either bootcut or straight but wide and it's as if someone has switched a switch, as I think they all look dreadful now and very dated! I'll definitely try Banana Republic. Any other suggestions?

I wear skinny chinos from H & M. I have them in navy, black and a bright green. Roll them up a couple of times with a pair of flats or tuck them into a pair of boots. £15 a pair. Look fab, wash great and were good value for money. Can't beat it!

Next also sell nice skinny jeans/trousers/chinos in a rnage of colours for around the £25-£30 mark, again also good value and wash well.

I too discovered skinny jeans about a year ago after a lifetime of bootleg and have never looked back. I find it amazing how much slimmer they make me look - just goes to show it can be worth trying something on even if you're adament you'll hate it. A fashion revelation for me!

For work only...M & S modern slim.. in black only.... I am aware that most of the positive comments on these are from ahem... the older lady... but I am tall & a size 10 and these really do make me look slim (in the long length). Fed up with Next bootcut which just fall down & go baggy. These are far more fitted & look good if styled well. Am avoiding all the other colours, like navy and ugh beige.

Slim Leg

I agree about looking at all your old trousers in a different way. I had a new pair of Karen Millen flared jeans which I didn't wear after discovering skinnier fits - took them to be altered to a much slimmer fit, and now love them again. Have you tried Kew, I much prefer their range now it is Kew 159. They have some really good skinny jeans and it is 25% off this weekend.
