Orange dress?

FreakoidOrganisoid · 20/02/2012 12:11

Ordered a dress online that I thought was red, but it's actually orange.

I hate orange. I've always hated orange. But I love the dress.

Can I wear orange?

It's very orange.

Like sainsburys carrier bag orange.

Orange.

I think it looks good - lovely shape on you and and the colour is flattering (will just take some getting used to and perhaps a change of make up - wear a coral based blush rather than a pink).

I'm beginning to think there's some kind of sinister orange dress plot - I, like you, hate orange, never had an orange piece of clothing but I can't stop lusting after this - m.asos.com/mt/www.asos.com/ASOS/ASOS-Sexy-Pencil-Dress-with-Pockets/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=667555&cid=8799&Rf-200=7&sh=0&pge=1&pgesize=12&sort=-1&clr=Rust

I think it looks great.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 20/02/2012 17:34

Thanks all, I think I'll be brave and keep it...It's just the orangeness that scares me (although on the invoice they called it papaya so I maybe need to think of it as that instead!)

it's lovely, would it be the one from H&M that I have been dilly dallying about getting ?

FreakoidOrganisoid · 21/02/2012 09:49

Yes, you should have got it last week, was half price then! Although looking at it on the h&m website it is clearly orange so don't know why I thought red...

Honestly? I don't think it's the most flattering colour on you. Appreciate you're not all made up in the photo but it looks like the colour is wearing you. However, you look FAB in the black dress further down.

Maybe it'll work with a tan?

Bluesue26 · 21/02/2012 13:25

@msarsebiscuit just ordered that dress yesterday but in black and I can't wait for it to arrive :)
I say go for it and wear it, I wore a much brighter orangey colour on new years eve and got loads of compliments on it. I can't wait to wear it again.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 21/02/2012 13:56

Eek I'd just been persuaded into keeping it ifancy!

Bluesue, my sister has been trying to get me to wear orange for years but I've always resisted. I do really want that dress though ( I have just bought orange shoes, it may be some kind of illness ).

Freakoid, you suit the dress, don't be having second thoughts.
