It depends on your age, usual style and type of jacket.
I have a huge collection of leather jackets, i love them and wear them all year round (except with my baby weight, none of them fit! - i'm working on it)
I hate the 'Leather blazer' type jackets that Caroline Quentin used to wear, so as long as your not going for that...
Don't go for all saint's the quality is rubbish!

Not keen on leather in colours other than brown or black.

Oh I've always wanted an All Saints one, are they not good quality? Where do people recommend?
Would love a Rick Owens one but £££.
My grey All Saints one has aged well. I have a Mint Velvet one I love. It's very buttery leather and a caramel colour. I have a black one from River Island which isn't as good leather but looks new after many wears. Massimo Dutti is good too.

I agree the Mint Velvet ones look very good. Whistles also has been known to stock some good leather jackets.
I have a gorgeous Gharani Strok biker jacket that I picked up in TK Maxx last year, and it was an absolute steal -- £60 down from £350. To put this in perspective, Zara was stocking much poorer quality ones for £120. I was quite pleased.
