Hello, I'm looking at getting a pair of snow boots to be prepared anymore snow-I have hiking boots but the snow was deeper than my boots so i got wet and cold!
They need to adjustable as I have big calfs and i would like 'proper' grip on the soles.
Any ideas?
I had some merrel ones last year and they were fab, except they didnt last too well hence not having them any more, I guess they would be fine if you just wore them for snow but I wore mine to walk everywhere oi n for a year.

Sorel snow boots are fab quite pricey but last year after year
+1 for Sorels, I bought a new pair this year as my last pair was from 1991 and getting a bit tatty - still waterproof and warm though.
Thanks ladies.Bit out of my price range as i will only be wearing them for snow days.I can see why you both like the Sorel ones they are stunning .
Merrell might not be great if you have larger calves. I bought the Merrell Taiga but had to return them as I couldn't do the zips up
Have now bought the Keen Snowmass and waiting for delivery - hoping they're going to be better. They're adjustable (lace up at the back) and I've read reviews saying they're suitable for more sturdy calves!

I got some fab the North Face boots for Christmas, worn them the past few days in the solid ice up here in NE and they have been fab! They are down filled so very warm with excellent grippy soles, will try and hunt out link!

That's the boots I have in black, I was lucky to be able to buy the children's version of these as they are identical but go up to size 5 so much cheaper!

I have the same boots as crazy and they keep my toes toasty fine in the snow but no good what so ever now my street in like an Ice Ring. Maybe mine do not grip the ice so well as I am a skinny lightweight 7stone even the wind blows me away.

I've got Snow and Rock lace up boots with v grippy sole and little ice studs on them - got them in the sale 5 years ago, worn LOADS since and still waterproof and warm. If you subscribe to Snow a d Rock emails they send you money-off vouchers once a week.
any from lands end. me, ds and dd all have their snow boots, love them.
if you live near one of their outlet shops, you can get them half price.
