Why is it so hard to find a nice, long sleeved, not too chunky jumper or cardi? The kind of thing to wear with skinny jeans and boots. Ideally it would be long enough to cover the bum. If I could find such a thing I would happily pay a bit more as I know I'd wear it to death. If I can't find one, I might have to take up knitting!! Anyone know where I can get one? Google shopping no help.

Try Lakeland for one not all manmade fibres.

Not sure what Gap have in at the moment as I'm trying to avoid them as always find something to buy! I love their knitwear as it washes well and lasts. Otherwise I like oasis cardigans but am avoiding them for the same reason!

I got a lovely one from Fat Face last week. Maybe a bit chunky but long and lined and cosy. Was £68 though. If it hadn't been so nice (and so cold outside at the time) I would have baulked. Just need to get my money's worth now!

I ordered a long chunky-looking one from the Brora site. It was in the sale. Not cream or brown (typical) but looks lovely and cosy. I hope it turns out ok coz I hate the hassle of returns. At least they know that NI is in the UK. I refuse to use sites that charge extra for delivery here. Fingers crossed. Thanks everyone!

M&S has loads-i got a navy one with a bit of cashmere mines v long on me nearly at knees but im only 5ft!. Lovely material though and row of buttons up sleeve I love mine and a good price.

@faustina I ordered a thing calked a Shetland jacket. It's sort of Apline-patterned and chunky. I'll see what it's like when it gets here. I checked that you can return sale items. They definitely had a good selection. If it works out, I'll use them again. Thanks.

Wallis £20 in the sale at the moment. I live in mine, great length and it is nipped in the waist
I'll second Zara - just bought a cardi in the sale for £8 just covers my bum and not too thick or thin. In fact, might go back tomorrow and get it in a couple more colours...
Does it hqve elbow patches?

seeker - Zara has got cardis with elbow patches but they aren't on sale iirc.
