8 week old and jolting awake

My bf 8 week old will sleep from about 2200-0100 okish, but after her first night feed she just won't settle back down. Every 20 - 40 minutes I'm tending to her .She doesn't seem to get past active sleep and jolts awake , or her dummy drops out , and I have to place her back on the breast to settle her .

We try swaddling which worked for about two weeks but now she just moans and kicks out if it.

She sleeps in a sling or on me for long stretches of time during the day , but again jolts awake if I try to put her down .

About two weeks ago I could put her down to self settle , but that's stopped .

Is this just a phase that will pass ?

Are you swaddling tightly enough? Do you use those special stretchy swaddling blankets? Worked like a treat with mine

I would still say try swaddling, you can try different types. My ds would always wake if his arms flew around. Up to 6 weeks I think we just used to swaddle him tight in a blanket, including legs crossed up, then after that we used one of those types where the legs are free to move around but the arms are held tight. Also you could try trying to teach her to suck her thumb, that way it's always there, unlike a dummy which can fall out.
