My DS settles to sleep relatively okay (after a feed.. But that's another thread...) around 7-8ish and always always wakes after 30-40 min and needs to be resettled. He's usually then off until his next feed around 11pm. Does anyone else's DC do this. DS has done this without fail for a few months now. He's five months and EBF.

Mine used to quite regularly between about 4 and 6 months, 45 mins exactly after falling asleep. I guess it stopped when her sleep cycle lengthened and after we did a bit of self-settling training. Hope it passes soon, it is a bit annoying it always happens just as you've cooked dinner, doesn't it?

Just after I've cooked and am one or two bites in...
We're trying to work on self settling.... The feeding to sleep doesn't help so I've been trying to take him off the boob and make sure he goes into the cot a bit awake.
Not sure if related but DS only naps for 30-40 min during the day and he has a one every two hours give or take... I am also waiting for the longer naps to start.
I might try and find out when the sleep cycle lengthens..

My DS did this for months. I tried all sorts (including self-settling) but nothing seemed to make any difference. In the end it was just time. When he got to about 8 months he just started started having longer naps and stopped waking up on an evening too. I didn't do anything different. Saying that he is still acrap sleeper and wakes up lots of times later on in the night!
